Good Design is the Art of Living.
~~Kimberly B. Gray
This slogan is one that I created two decades ago when I returned to school for Art and Design and Historic Preservation. I was living in northern Ohio back then and had completed two years of a PhD in Organizational Behavior. As much as I loved my studies in that program, my life-long love has been in design and art. Those years of study were the most fulfilling of my life.
During 2020 and 2021, my attention has been devoted to writing two books, both memoirs. The book that has attracted the larger portion of my time relates to Interior Design and the manner of several years of my life experiences being an allegory of Good Design and its relationship to personality disorder. Personality Disorder is where my studies in Organizational Behavior coalesce with Design and my memoir.
Because of my writing of this memoir, I recently came across this artfully designed video, just published on YouTube about a week ago. It is extraordinary to the content of my memoir, albeit the writer of the video has created a direct reference to psychosis and totalitarianism, certainly aspects of personality disorder. My personal experiences, particularly in the last decade, have exposed me to personality disorders in relationships impacting my life.
I have a personal knowing that the Divine has given me these experiences for a reason, although I would really rather have avoided such! I tend to rush in where angels fear to tread.
You must take a listen. Below is a link to this impressive creation and analysis.
